A small, beautiful strip of land, sun drenched and full of Balkan charm. A country of contrasts that surprises you again and again, untouched landscapes, picturesque towns and rocky peaks.
In Albanian the country is called the Land of the Eagles, and any woman who drives through the Albanian Alps understands why.
On a jeep tour in Albania we set out through untouched country: ancient villages, cows and sheep, endless green, little waterfalls along the road, a flowing turquoise river, old watchtowers and smiling locals.

Let's dive into the plan
We land at the airport in Montenegro, where the local team welcomes us along with the jeeps. We cross into wonderful Albania and continue along a stunning scenic road to the Theth nature reserve in the Albanian Alps. Suddenly everything looks simple, primeval and romantic.
We wake to an Albanian breakfast and a jaw dropping view. A gorgeous hike to the Blue Eye, off-road driving around the village of Theth and a visit to the mysterious watchtower and the ancient church.
An early start to the ferry that carries us and the jeeps across Lake Koman, between spectacular cliffs. We continue off-road between ancient villages, beech and oak forests and dramatic landscapes to the Valbona Valley, one of Albania's most beautiful untouched reserves. A day of pure, perfect nature.
A full day of off-road driving through the stunning Valbona Valley. Turquoise rivers, a spectacular waterfall, endless forests in the shade of high peaks, and hospitality in a local home for raki, the local spirit.
A whole day of beautiful off-road driving along a flowing river and ancient villages, all the way to Shkoder, one of the oldest cities in the world, sitting at the foot of the largest reservoir in the Balkans.
We say goodbye to the nature of the Land of the Eagles and visit the historic town of Kruja: the old city walls, Skanderbeg's fortress and shopping in the colorful bazaar. We continue to Vlora, an Albanian coastal town, with a promenade, nightlife and a Mediterranean breeze.
Put on your swimsuit! A day of sailing to the exotic islands of the Albanian Riviera, island stops, swimming and a full day of turquoise water. In the afternoon we cross back into Montenegro.
In the early morning we head to the airport and fly home to Israel with a full heart.
